Fun for Kids in Banyule

Banyule Festival

The Banyule Festival is an annual community event which takes place on the last weekend of March in the Warringal Parklands at Sills Bend on the banks of the Yarra River.

School children along with community groups participates in a street parade through Banyule to the park and  all dress up according to a theme of the Festival.

On  Sunday  numerous activities take place to engage the children in active learning about the environment through arts and craft workshops.

Arranged by the local environment groups adults and children can also join walks near the wetlands to look for and learn about birds and frogs.

The Banyule Festival also offers music entertainment and picnic opportunity for the local community to get together and enjoy an evening in the Park.

The next Banyule Festival will be held on March 23 and 24, 2013. For more information follow the link to the Banyule City Council website page about The Banyule Festival.
