The Banyule Festival is an annual community event which
takes place on the last weekend of March in the Warringal
Parklands at Sills Bend on the banks of the Yarra River.
School children along with community groups participates
in a street parade through Banyule to the park and all dress
up according to a theme of the
On Sunday numerous activities take place to
engage the children in active learning about the environment
through arts and craft workshops.
Arranged by the local environment groups adults and
children can also join walks near the wetlands to look for and
learn about birds and frogs.
The Banyule Festival also offers music entertainment and
picnic opportunity for the local community to get together and
enjoy an evening in the Park.
The next Banyule Festival will be held on March 23
